The Sucher Four Plus One More: July 2012

Ok, ok, so I'm about a month late in getting this post put on our blog...but what can I say...we're a family that is always on the move in the summer. Things haven't settled down from the second our little blue-eyed Owen turned ONE at the beginning of June. Everyone always told me that the FIRST year just flies by...they weren't kidding! Owen's first year with us has been absolutely incredible. It has been such a joy to watch him grow and learn new things each and every day. His big toothy smile is completely infectious and I'm pretty sure we lucked out with getting the HAPPIEST baby on earth.

And OH BOY did this little guy get a PARTY!! I may gone a little over the top on his festivities but you only celebrate your FIRST birthday once, right?!?!?

Needless to say, Owen's party had a SOCK MONKEY theme :)

High-five to this mom for putting together, what I consider to be, an overall successful birthday party! Owen was surrounded by family and friends, a lot of delicious food, and oh so many presents. He got serenaded with the Birthday Song from the second he woke up that morning. I'm pretty sure he enjoyed it too because he would clap along as we sang "Happy Birthday to you..." Owen knew that the whole day was all about him :) A big thank you to all those that made his and our day such a memorable one.

Owen asked that all of his guests be put in a sugar coma upon exiting the festivities...well...you gotta give the kid what he wants for his birthday!

Each of the kids got to make their very own SOCK MONKEY. This activity was an absolute hit! I can't believe how creative some of the kids got...they took it very serious. In fact, it was hard to peel them away so we could open the gifts.
