"The sun is shining...the weather is sweet..."

September...already?!?!  Well the dog days of summer are no longer upon us, sadly, they are here.  I have been trying to hold on to every last inch of summer that I can with my mid-morning runs with my trusty little sidekick to enjoying the warm summer evenings on the patio with our family.   We've had such a wonderful summer and I'm sad to see it go.  Unfortunately, this mommy heads back to work next week so my summer comes to a close with some great memories of all the fun things we've gotten to do this summer especially with our newest addition to the Sucher Clan.
There is so much to share from the past 4 weeks, I don't even know where to begin...

Harrison and Andrew headed back to school a week ago and are definitely back into the swing of things again.  Can you believe Harrison is a freshman?!?!  This will be their last year together at South Ogden Junior High before Harrison ventures off to high school next year.  Ugh...I can't even think about it...driving...girlfriends...ACTs...I'm having nightmares just thinking about it!  :) I do have to say, they are the cutest and sweetest BIG brothers to Owen that I have ever seen.  It's almost like they cruise through their days at school just so they can rush home to play with Owen.  What a lucky boy to have such AWESOME big brothers to look after him.  I can just imagine all the fun they are going to have with him when he gets to be a few months older.

Harrison and Andrew weren't the only boys on the move this summer.  Owen has been a mover and a shaker all on his own too.  On Friday, August 26th, Owen rolled from his tummy to his back for the first time!!  It was such an exciting moment (more so for Mommy than for Owen), in fact, it was so exciting that I made him do it over, and over, and over!  Of course, Mommy didn't have the camera on hand the first time he rolled but she sure got pictures AND video the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and well (I think you get the point) 5th time around.
Owen rolling over!

and this was the look I got after he rolled over

This rolling over business has definitely made tummy-time a whole new experience for Owen.  I didn't think the day would come where I could say that my child LOVES tummy-time BUT now Owen really does LIKE tummy-time.  I actually get smiles and some giggles out of him now when we're playing on our tummies.  Instead of a 2 minute tummy-time session we play on our tummy every chance we can get.  It amazes me how strong he is getting.  We'll have him crawling in no time!
Owen giggling because he caught the monkey

AND Owen loves Loves LOVES taking a bath now!  He loves to kick and splash and play with all his bath toys.  Bath time is so much fun now.  I'm usually soaking wet by the end of it but as long as this child loves to take a bath I don't mind.  Now he cries when tubby-time is over and we have to dry him off.  I take those tears over the "I hate the bath" tears any day of the week.

don't you just love how chubby he is getting?!?!?
So what else is this family doing when we're not riding horses, playing in the river, rolling over, and taking a bath??  We're watching baseball...that's what!

Ok, so Uncle Collin and Andrew were there too

It's time to say farewell to summer and welcome the fall with open arms.  Fall is my most favorite time of the year.  I can't wait to share all the fall-tastic things we'll be doing in the coming season.  I'm sure I don't need to tell you this but I already have Owen's Halloween costume all picked out!!

So long for now, I'm being summoned by Mr. Short Pockets...it's time to eat!
